Puer for Beginners: An introduction to Chinese aged tea
Puer, Chinese aged tea, is one of the few fermented teas produced in China. Traditionally sourced from Yunnan Province, puer has a rich history as a widely traded good on the tea-horse roads throughout Asia. More recently, this aged tea has gained notoriety for its complexity and diversity of flavor profiles. Despite puer’s increasing popularity, this tea type is still largely shrouded in mystery in the Western world. This class will cover everything from puer’s processing to its preparation.
