Join Royal Coffee NY at The Lab for a 3 hour introductory cupping workshop.
In this workshop, we will cover the amazing journey a coffee bean takes to get to your cup. We will discuss how coffee professionals taste and evaluating coffee, and then put our skills to the test, cupping 3 flights of coffee representing the 4 major growing regions and a variety of processes from each region.
This class is great for people who want to learn more about tasting coffee, and also recommended for coffee professionals who want to learn more about cupping protocol, coffee evaluation, or to taste coffees that they may not taste often.
Plenty of time for Q&A after class. Light refreshments will be served.

About the instructors:
Ana Mallozzi has worked in specialty coffee for the past 6 years, and in that time, has worked in almost every part of the coffee industry, including training, wholesale, and quality control & assurance. She is a SCAA certified instructor, BGA Level 2 Barista, passed her Q Grader exam and also competed in the "Big Eastern" Barista Competition back in 2014. She currently is the Education and Quality Specialist for Royal Coffee NY.
Joe Borg is a second generation Specialty Coffee Trader. He was introduced to the Specialty Coffee Industry at a young age helping his father, Richard, at various coffee events. He spends most of his day cupping coffees, talking to producers and roasters a like building relationships and supplying great coffees. He is a certified Q Grader and has been a trader at Royal Coffee NY for 5 years.
