Due to popular demand, we split up our original “Cupping with Royal” into 2 classes.
This “Cupping with Royal” class expands on the original and is ideal for people who have some coffee background, have cupped before, and want a well rounded workshop that goes deeper into cupping protocol and evaluating many different types of coffees. Like the original Cupping with Royal, this class includes cupping a wide range of coffees of different origins, processes, and quality levels.
In this class, we will discuss:
The different types of coffee processing and how they affect the taste of coffee
How to set-up and execute a cupping using industry standard protocol
An introduction to how coffee is traded
Diving deeper into tasting and evaluating using the SCA Cupping Form
Class size will be limited to ensure small groups at each cupping table, and a Royal NY employee will be present at each table to answer any questions and to facilitate ongoing discussion.
